Frequently Asked Question

Calls are not connecting
Last Updated 11 days ago

Assuming your SIP client (or ipDTL) has registered / logged in to our server, and there is no error message, then you may have issues with your firewall or NAT configuration.

See this article for firewall requirements, or contact us for help (minimum Expert support level required).

While we generally advise enabling STUN in your SIP device configuration, some NAT configurations do not require / support this, so if calls are failing, then disabling STUN is one thing to try.

Test Addresses

Loopbacktest-loop@sip.audioLoops audio back immediately
Echotest-echo@sip.audio

Loops audio back after 5 seconds

Tonetest-milli@sip.audio

Plays a constant test tone

If our test calls are failing in ipDTL, this may mean that SIP calling is filtered on your firewall. Because of the way that native ipDTL calling works, you may still be able to connect to other ipDTL users or Send a Link guests.
